Exosens, a leading high-tech provider of mission-critical optical and imaging technologies, announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire NVLS (Nightvision Laser Spain), a specialist in night vision equipment. This acquisition strengthens Exosens’ expertise in night vision technology, allowing it to further expand its capabilities and product offerings in key markets such as Spain, Latin America, and Asia.

NVLS is one of the leading companies in man-portable night vision and thermal devices, specialising in the development of ultra-compact, ultra-light, high-performance systems for land forces, aviators, and amphibious operators. Its devices have become standard issue for the Spanish Armed Forces and Security Forces, and the company is rapidly expanding its exports to NATO countries, Asia, and Latin America.

The acquisition will enable NVLS to leverage Exosens’ extensive sensor technology platform to develop next-generation devices with enhanced performance for global armed forces. This strategic move will also support NVLS in continuing its expansion into international markets, particularly in regions with growing demand for advanced night vision technologies.

Jérôme Cerisier, CEO of Exosens, commented on the acquisition, highlighting how NVLS will contribute to Exosens’ ongoing commitment to innovation and customer service. He emphasised the importance of delivering high-performance image intensifiers to customers while maintaining the company’s position as a leading provider of ITAR-free solutions.

Jorge de la Torre, CEO of NVLS, expressed his satisfaction in joining the Exosens group, noting the longstanding relationship between the two companies. He stated that NVLS will continue to benefit from Exosens’ advanced technologies, ensuring the development of cutting-edge night vision solutions.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the coming months, subject to regulatory approvals. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

With over 85 years of experience, Exosens is a global leader in electro-optical technologies. The company develops and manufactures advanced imaging and detection solutions for demanding environments, operating across 11 sites in Europe and North America, and employing over 1,700 people.
