Ulefone announced two new smartphones not long ago. Their names are the Ulefone Armor Mini 20 Pro and Mini 20T Pro. The latter phone comes with thermal imaging tech, while both are small rugged phones, which is not something you see often. With that being said, let’s take a closer look at the Ulefone Armor Mini 20T Pro’s thermal camera, shall we?

The company shared more information regarding this setup. The phone is equipped with FLIR’s highest-res Lepton 3.5 sensor. Ulefone actually claims that this is the smallest 5G rugged phone equipped with thermal imaging technology.

This handset features a 4.7-inch display, in case you’re out of the loop. In any case, Ulefone claims that this thermal camera offers a thermal resolution comparable to the FLIR ONE Edge Pro, which is a professional device for thermal imaging.

The Ulefone Armor Mini 20T Pro matches the FLIR ONE Edge Pro in some key areas, Ulefone says. It has the same thermal imaging resolution of 160 x 120. On top of that, the temperature measurement is also identical, up to 400°C.

The Armor Mini 20T Pro does have an advantage in thermal sensitivity with <50 mK, compared to <70 mK of the FLIR ONE Edge Pro. On top fo that, it offers a broader operating temperature range (-30°C to 55°C).

As if that’s not enough, this smartphone also comes with an IP68 and IP69K certifications. In other words, it offers better waterproofing and durability in extreme environments. This smartphone also supports multiple image modes and has support for VividIR technology.

There are other features that are worth noting, that are not related to thermal imaging. The phone has a versatile LED light which supports lighting, sharp light, SOS, and constant-on modes.

The MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 SoC fuels this phone, while a 6,200mAh battery is included. Both wired and wireless charging is supported, while the phone is also MIL-STD-810H certified.
